Out of interest, why not create a sprite sheet? They're more efficient, and solve consistency issues. Brogan has done a decent job of writing a guide on how to make them over at XF.

Before XenForo I would always try to come up with my own designs from scratch, or I would buy a website template from somewhere and adapt this into a forum design. For the most part, this worked pretty well. The code wouldn't always be pretty but some of those designs would be pretty unique...

So long as the criticism is constructive, and suggestions are offered on what they would do to help remedy their feedback - I don't mind so much and will try to accommodate where I feel that I am able, yet still remain happy and/or satisfied with things overall.. I can be quite stubborn though...
