Themes adds uniqueness to any given website, be it blog or forum, social medias, e-commerce stores etc. They're more enticing when the themes are looking appealing and catchy.

How often do you change your website theme? to bring more uniqueness, and appealing to users.

About six months to a year, depends how much the skin cost and how nice it looks. Also depends on the support it is still getting.

We'll try put out a new skin every time the sites version number hits another .5, eg 1.0, 1.5, 2.0, etc. This generally happens every ~5ish months or so.

Okay, that's okay provided you're evaluating reasons before changing your theme. I've been to some blogs, forums that change theirs almost every month.
