Other Will Guilded be the death of forums?

Forums have been struggling over the years, especially with the birth of discord. However, Guilded is an alternative to Discord with a built in forum system in it. On top of a scheduling system, calendar/events people can RSVP to, check list, roles, and practically everything people tend to use for the average forum. Do you all think this will be the death of the majority of forums as you know it?

It has forums built into it, there's also subs which people can pay for your perks like Patreon, but they take significantly less than what patreon takes. They take 5%-12%, Guilded only takes 2.5%. So it's essentially forums with IIRC, RSVP features, and money making all combined into it automatically without having to pay for any hosting, domain names, etc. You can even build SEO with it as well. I tested it out personally.

It won't kill forums, but it won't help either. I think there will always be those who want more control, either over their community's presentation or over their data.

I miss the internet before Facebook and Reddit though, when forums were more alive.

I don't even hang around discord for long, i spend more time on forums than discord. Cos i learn amazing life changing things around forums than in any social platforms online. I believe Xenforo and other forum softwares will make changes for more stability.

The thing with guilded is it has forums in it. There's built in forum features on the program on top of events, calendars, paid subscriptions for the server owner, and a lot of other features. So you do in fact get the forum experience on it.

I've gotten what it is at the moment. Its simply magnificent for the guided features at discord. The built-in features have really outclassed Xenforo's unique features. Xenforo needs to upgrade to beat the marker set by this unique guided features of discord.

It's not discord, it's a separate software all together called Guilded. Discord couldn't ever compete with forums and other things of that nature

Thanks a lot for the correction, i was thinking its discord with such amazing feature. Hmm, this particular software is simply tremendous. With what you just said, its already shifting the spotlight away from Xenforo, unless Xenforo will come up with better upgrades.

That's what I'm thinking, guilded you get a vanity url (guilded.gg/Webmaster) for example. You can even build SEO for it and get ranked on google, it's 100% free to use and make a server which means you can make money with it without spending a dime to do it. I do think once more people learn about it, it could be the end for new forum owners as there's not a whole lot of reason behind making an actual forum and spending the money on everything.

I honestly didnt like guilded at all... not sure why just wasn't for me.. I can see it competing with discord however, Forums provides more Custom, traffic, content etc.

Yeah, the software itself is completely free. It's free to make a blog on it, forums, and live chat all in one without any cost. More importantly, you can have subs so people can pay YOU for exclusive content if you so wish. So, on top of it being free it's also profitable. It's not much but I make $40/mo off of it

That's wonderful that guided is cost free. Building forum/blog for free with the enthralling features is great too. Being free and profitable at the same time which earned you $40 per month is tremendous indeed. I'm beginning to change my thought now around other forum software, to love 'Guided more. Is it possible to monetize Guided forums or blog for free through ads since its cost free?
