Other Blog apart of forum - how?

I'm not sure which thread to post this.Nor am I sure how to describe-how to ask the question. So I'm going to post a few forum as an example.
https://www.revillution.net/ and https://geezezone.com/. https://strategygaming.net/
They have a blog added to there forum which is a part of the forum. You must be a member of the forum to do a reply.Is it a plugin. I have not been able to come up with results from research. So I thought I would post it here.

It'd help if you used the prefix for the software you're looking for. I'll be assuming you're talking about Xenforo. There's a few ways of doing this. You can use a bridge to use Wordpress and Xenforo together, there's a theme for that. THIS IS THE THEME/BRIDGE it's very nice looking, and fairly simple to install. Other ways of doing it is finding a blogging addon for xenforo. Revillution uses Xenporta which is essentially a home page, where you're able to display the latest forum posts. Not so much a blog post. You can find that HERE Some other addons consist of THIS

That's about all when it comes to blogs. Excluding the bridge, there isn't any official blog addon that's designed strictly for xenforo 2. There was one for XF1 I use to use, but I believe it's unmaintained as of now.

I've used a bridge myself, It's nice to get the member's database onto the blog, but I've always had trouble with it.

I heard about Bob's add on but never really had a reason to have a blog apart from the forums. The forum seems to be where most of the action is in my opinion. But a lot of people do like his add-on and that might be the path you want to take as it's definitely the best choice.

I tried it to get my users an arcade, which really didn't pan out to well.

I have seen the bridge a lot and it has worked out pretty nicely however, I really like how Namepros does their blog. Where they use the forum itself as a blog.

Actually we (geezezone) use the articles forum type which I made the homepage and added widgets to.

We use XenPorta at play observed and I believe Revillution uses this too.
